Ep. 34 | Are you a Slave of your Inner-Critics? (Meet your 5 Critics)

Updated: Jul 25, 2021

Your inner critic — it’s always there, lurking around your mind like a feline stalking it’s prey, waiting for the perfect opportunity to pounce and remind you how you’re not good enough, you performed terribly, you don’t have what it takes or that you’re likely to fail so don’t even bother trying.

The term ‘inner critic’ refers to a sub-personality that many of us develop, that judges us, demeans us and indiscriminately shines a spotlight on our weaknesses (unlike our ‘inner coach’ that provides constructive feedback).

Depending on how loud your inner critic is, it can completely debilitate you from taking action, leading to social anxiety, fear of judgement, feelings of fear, shame, guilt and even depression.

In this Part 1 of 2 video I introduce you to the five main critics I’ve identified from observing my own clients. See if you recognize any of them within you.
